I spent the day exploring Upper Canada Village, a living history museum that recreates life in an 1860s rural town. I walked through homes, farms, and workshops, each brought to life by costumed interpreters. Honestly, it was so immersive that at times I forgot what time period I was actually in.
Below features some of my favorite photos, each shot captures life from over 150 years ago.
This blacksmith shop was one of the most visually striking parts of the village. Watching the blacksmiths at work gave me a whole new appreciation for how tools, hinges, and even horseshoes were made by hand.
